Bio
Leal is my first "teaching" school and
the phrase "Home of the Apaches" fits my Apache Indian ancestry from my
Mother's side of the family. This is my 8th year teaching at Leal as a math
teacher but most importantly I am Special Education Certified. Although my
teaching concentration at Leal MS has been Resource Math, I have taught 6th and
8th grade math as well as AMI Math. I have coached Tennis and Track and
cherished guiding the students in being the best they could be in their
atheletic sport.
I have a Masters Degree in Education,
Public Policy and in Business. I have a Bachelors Degree in Social Psychology
and an Associates Degree in Medical. I proudly served twenty-one years in the
US Air Force and worked in the medical field. I have been stationed all over
the world with my last duty station at Wilford Hall Medical Center - Lackland
Air Force Base. My most interesting overseas base was Turkey and my most loved
station was in Japan.
My personal interests include involvement
in Business Programs, 20 years of Teaching middle school CCD, President of the
Hispanic Organization while stationed in Japan, CPR and First Aid Certified
instructor for 8 years. While in the Air Force I an actively participated in
racquetball and team running. After the Air Force I worked at UTSA, External
Affairs (legislative issures) and for Judson School District.
